KANIZ

The Kashmir Archive

Some pieces are made to be worn. Others are made to be kept.

The Kashmir Archive is reserved for our most exceptional Pashmina shawls. Large, richly worked pieces carrying hours upon hours of hand embroidery. Their intricate Sozni designs can take  years to complete, depending on the complexity of the work.

Every motif is built by hand, stitch by stitch, requiring extraordinary patience, precision and an artisan’s accumulated knowledge of the craft. No two pieces are ever completely identical; the human hand leaves its own quiet signature.

These are not simply shawls. They are records of time, rare pieces of Kashmiri craftsmanship created slowly, intended to be treasured and passed forward.

Pure Pashmina. Handwoven. Heavily hand-embroidered Sozni. Years in the making.
