Wular Lake, north of Srinagar, is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia. In the late afternoon its surface breaks the light into soft, shimmering reflections of reeds, willows and sky.

Material & Design
Woven from pure pashmina with a soft twill texture and a natural fringed edge, Wular is light, warm and easy to drape.
The patterned half: An ikat-style design of soft, feathered blocks in taupe, charcoal, beige and mustard, crossed by fine wavy lines that ripple across the fabric.
The solid half: A rich mustard-ochre, the colour of golden reeds at the water’s edge.
The effect: Wrapped one way, the pattern leads. Wrapped the other way, the warm mustard takes over. Every drape looks different.
Care
Dry clean only, with a specialist in fine wool or cashmere.
Store folded in a cotton or muslin bag with cedar or lavender, never in plastic.
Keep away from perfume, rough straps and jewellery that might snag.
Press on low heat with a cotton cloth in between, if needed.
Gently untangle the fringe by hand. Never pull loose threads.
